Paul Ryan tells Fox News anchor Bret Baier that Paul supporters should back him and Romney because “We see eye to eye on a lot of issues” and that Paul “and his supporters should be very comfortable with us.”
Ryan attempted to reach out to the libertarians in an interview with Baier that will air tonight at 6pm ET on Fox News.
“We see eye to eye on a lot of issues and believe in some … limited government,” Ryan told Fox News. “We believe in academic freedom. We believe in the founding principles. We believe that this is a watershed moment for America, whether or not we’re going to reclaim the American idea or we’re going to become, you know, a cradle-to-the-grave welfare state, which is where I think the president is taking us.”
Give me a break. Paul Ryan voted for the NDAA, the Patriot act, and the Auto bailouts. These are fake conservatives.
The like was for your blog. I don’t think Ryan will resonate with the hardcore Paul fans.
Most of Ron Paul’s followers can see through the political BS of fake conservatives like Romney and Ryan.
I’m as insulted as the band Rage Against the Machine, that Paul Ryan would liken himself to the liberty movement. I’ll take a page out of the Rolling Stones interview and say….
Mr. Ryan, you are everything we have been fighting against. You are clueless on what the R3VOLution is all about. Just another fake neo-con hiding behind the hijacked tea party movement that was usurped by the GOP progressives. Go back to your hole….we’re not fooled.
wow did he write that himself, that will never sell, cause we aren’t interested in buying we are interested in seeing people like you and your boss out of washington
Bhahahahaha….how stupid does he think we are? Sure, we’ll vote for him…..NOT.
Someone on the Ron Paul Forums made this wonderful translation of his comments:
“We see eye to eye on a lot of issues,” Ryan said.
……….= We think Ron and liberty is too dangerous.
“We believe in sound money.”
……….= We believe we can centrally plan a sound money system.
“We believe in economic freedom.”
……….= We believe in Republican-style regulations.
“We believe in the founding principles.”
……….= We believe in that these sound-bytes will fool people. Lets not get into details.
“We believe this is a watersheds moment for America, whether we are going to reclaim the American idea or a cradle-to-grave welfare state which is where I think the president is taking us.”
……….= We believe our cradle-to-grave proposal will last a little longer than the liberal’s plan.
“So, I think in the final analysis Ron, he and his supporters should be comfortable with us.”
……….= In the final analysis, we know we can’t win without the support of the liberty movement.
Bull excrement smells better than that pack of….
Paul Ryan voted for TARP. Which is why the Tea Party started. He is another financial elite scumbag that wants to make him and Romney’s friends richer while making the rest of America Poorer. No Ron Paul supporter will vote for them.
LOL! No self-respecting Ron Paul supporter could ever be comfortable with Flip-Flop MItt and Lyin’ Paul Ryan….they are two turds in a blanket
Probably wait until November, it still looks very close to call
